Got 919x 2 weeks ago.It competes directly with XTO0L D7. This tool featuresbidirectional control consisting of resets, actuation tests and special functions. You canview all live data PIDS from all modules in the vehicle in either text form, or graph form.This tool with also record selected live data PIDS and it will allow for playback at up to 4Xspeed. lt is also compatible with the newer protocols of CAN FD and DolP. The toolphysically reminds me of the many Snap-on scanners because of its red body with blacktrim around the edges and especially its physical buttons. lt's VERY Snap on ish... Themechanical buttons are really nice for when your fingers are covered in grease and thescreen won't respond to their touch. lt also has an "automatically connect" feature thatcan be toggles on/off in the setting menu. This features makes the tool automaticallyauto-vin the vehicle and intimately start a full system scan when the data cable isconnected to a vehicle. All this happens by simply plugging in the data cable to the DLCport in the vehicle. This is the only tablet style of scan tool that l have reviewed on myYouTube channel to have physical buttons, and the "auto connect option. It seemed to work very well, and did what it said it was supposed to do. I did return the item, however, because I needed a model that provided more functions. The return process was smooth. If the list of functions is what you need, this should suit your purposes. I just needed more.

This tool took a bit to update all of the features, but that was more than likely a function of my home internet speed, and not the product.I was able to plug this into my 9-year-old car and perform a complete diagnosis without any glitches or problems. It seems like a very good product for the money. Will it do as much as a Snap-On or Mac Tools scanner? No. But it's also a fraction of the cost.It seems like it will be durable enough, but only time will tell. Additionally, I haven't had it long enough to comment on the battery life, and length of service between recharges. Hopefully it won't be a disappointment in that area.This is definitely leaps and bounds better than the Harbor Freight scanner/code reader I had been using. If you're a home mechanic that just needs to keep the family car/grocery-getter running well during this time of insane car markets without putting the local mechanic's kids through college, this tool would be an excellent choice.

Never had the chance to use this x431 because it doesn’t do what I need. It was a little misleading. Great reviews though. Lot’s of video but nothing on wat I need. Done a thorough search and I was right. So, I found another x431 model that does. Will purchase that one and give a review on my findings.

I needed it to initialize the new abs module in my 2016 Wrangler.I watched a UTube video and ordered the module and this from Launchx431online.Install went flawless & this device matched it to my JKU and removed error codes.All is well.(I am not a mechanic).Dealer quoted $2000 for job.This cost $462 & module, due to shortage, cost about $600.I figure I have a good deal.Got an awesome scan tool for next project and got it completed for half dealer price and the knowledge to do it again if necessary.

This scan tool is awesome! It's a scanner that is capable of doing a wide variety of functions, and is actually affordable. I took some time to mess around with several different functions, tests, and diagnostics with this scanner already, and it has blown me away with how it handled everything I've thrown at it! I am thrilled that the diagnostic doesn't just give you a code that you have to go research and hope to find accurately, but it actually gives a description of what the code is. I'll start by saying that I'm not a mechanic just a guy that works on his own vehicle, but this thing is amazing! I've got a GMC Sierra 2500. After replacing my injectors I needed to recode them and this tool worked great. It's rugged well built with a long battery life and has lots of options to help troubleshoot and diagnose what is actually wrong with your truck. My only regret is I didn't buy this sooner!

I own the XTOOL D8, which normally is my go-to scanner, but this one I run to it just as much when I need to scan.The only difference is that this one costs half the price!This one is much faster due to Android 10, it updates fast, and has a touch-screen AND buttons (in case you have on thick gloves working in the cold).Also, it is USB-C device and you can upgrade the storage!This thing has features as functions of a $1000 dollar scan tool, and it is able to code BCMs.The battery life is phenomenal as well. Truly a great scantool.I highly recommend it whether you are a DIYer or a new technician in the auto industry.

The Launch 919x is a great value for the price. This scanner has many of the same options as high end “Tool truck scanners”. Will it have everything a $7000-10000 Snap-on? No it will not. But most diy or small shops will be able to diagnose 95% of issues with this scanner. It is very easy to navigate through the menus and find the PIDs, Tests ,and resets related to the module with the malfunction code. One thing I was pleased with not related to the device itself is the storage case has been downsized to still hold all the accessories just in a much smaller size.
